Opera, and Brazilian BBQ

In the past couple of weeks, we went to the opera and to a Brazilian BBQ restaurant.

We saw a great production of Aida by Manitoba Opera.  The sets and costumes were amazing.

 

 

 

Last week we tried out a new Brazilian BBQ restaurant, Carnaval.  The food was really good--so much meat!--and it got the seal of approval from our Brazilian students.  Some had been there several times already.

 

 

Crepes and Burritos

And this past Tuesday we went to Burrito Del Rio before going to see the Winnipeg Comedy Festival's High School Improv Show:

We have also recently gone to the IMAX theatre the last week they were open at Portage Place, and have more events coming up this month, the Manitoba Opera Company, lunch at the new Brazilain restaurant, Carnaval, and a tour of the Manitoba Legislative Building.

Burrito Del Rio & High School Improv Show

Tuesday, April 9^th

We will meet at Burrito Del Rio, 433 River Avenue  in Osborne Village at 5:00 pm for a quick burrito or taco before going to the improv show.

Then we will walk next door to the Gas Station Theatre, 445 River Avenue, at about 5:30 to see the High School Improv Show, part of the annual Winnipeg Comedy Festival.  The show starts at 6:00 pm.  If you just want to come for the show, meet us at the theatre at 5:30.
